A bit about...

Volleyball - The game began in Massachusetts in 1895 and was created by William G. Morgan who was a YMCA physical education director.  It was called “Mintonette” at that time.

Today, the game of Volleyball consists of 2 teams of six players.  However, the more, the merrier!  This game is sure to draw a crowd.

A team member from the serving team throws the ball into the air and attempts to hit the ball so it goes over the net and into the opposing team's court. The opposing team must use a combination of no more than three contacts with the volleyball to return the ball to the opponent's side of the net.  What follows is great fun, lots of laughter and the call, “Mine”!

The exact rules of the game, of course, come in your volleyball equipment.  How you choose to play it, is up to you!
