Ladder Golf - Playing Ladder golf is similar to playing horseshoes. The difference, of course, is in the equipment. This game probably, got its start at campgrounds where creative campers and RVers came up with a crude version of the equipment. Now, it has become a family tradition. Practice makes throwing the bolos in ladder golf a skill to be desired. To win at this game you must reach a total of 21 points. If you go over 21 during your turn, you go back to what you had before that turn. Brutal? Yes but that’s the challenge! Unlike ball and club golf, players waiting for their turn, should make as many remarks, sounds or movements as possible during play in order to mess up the player’s groove. However, touching the player during tossing is never allowed. You also should never walk to the ladder before the throw is completed. Those golf ball bolas can hurt! Players from the opposing team should attempt to knock off other player's bolas so that they will not get the points. As you can see, this is a game where competition can become ruthless! Not exactly what you would think of as a “family-oriented” game! But, this can be a great teaching opportunity for good sportsmanship and strategy. Everybody will have fun and it won't take too long to find out who’s out to win!
